HEMA's data platform
Running the platform and architecting data solutions on AWS, with Databricks pipelines and governed SageMaker Unified Studio environments.
Senior Data Engineer at HEMA
I design and run the data platforms that analysts and data scientists rely on, on AWS and Databricks.

From Dharwad to Amsterdam, by way of Chemnitz and Södertälje.
I'm a data engineer with 7+ years building and running data platforms on AWS. I studied computer science in India and automotive software engineering at TU Chemnitz, then moved vehicle data into the cloud at Scania in Sweden.
Since then I've built data platforms in the Netherlands for energy, utilities, logistics and now retail at HEMA, where I manage the data platform and design data solutions on AWS.
Speaks English, Hindi and Kannada, with intermediate German and Dutch.
What I bring to a data team:
I own data platforms end to end: their reliability, day-to-day operations and how they grow. Today that's HEMA's platform on AWS and Databricks.

Tap a stage to see what happens there, the tools I use for it, and the concept that keeps it reliable.

Work I'm proud of.
From today's retail data platform back to automotive R&D.

Running the platform and architecting data solutions on AWS, with Databricks pipelines and governed SageMaker Unified Studio environments.

Moved processing from ECS containers to an end-to-end Dagster platform, and the warehouse to Apache Iceberg.

Evaluated 10 architectures and deployed a real-time AI model into Scania's ecosystem.

Low-flow readings from smart meters for micro-leak detection, with PostgreSQL CDC through Kinesis Data Firehose into Iceberg, EMR Serverless processing and dbt models.
Building a data platform? Let's talk.
